Welcome to the A’Salt Creek Roller Girls, Central Wyoming’s First and Only Women’s Flat Track Derby Association League. We are a sports league made up of great skaters, volunteers, referees, sponsors, fans, and friends who dedicate their time, talents, energy, and efforts to help bring the great sport of flat-track roller derby to Central Wyoming. ACRG was founded in 2009 and graduated to a WFTDA League in 2014. Learn more about WFTDA here.
Flat Track Roller Derby is about athleticism and skill with a healthy amount of competition; this sport has come a long way since the TV broadcast days of Banked Track roller derby that focused on the fights and the spectacle. The roller derby we play is a 100% real sport; the hits are real and the injuries are real, nothing about roller derby is staged or choreographed.
ACRG is a skater owned and operated league, that supports the motto “by the skater, for the skater”, and are an equal opportunity sports organization. Aside from training for and playing Roller Derby we help out where we can in our community. We are partners with the non-profit organization Paws-2-Help, and will be operating as our own non-profit organization in 2015. Together with Paws-2-Help, we want to promote the positive image of Roller Derby as an athletic challenging sport and promote Pit-bulls as the loving caring pets that they are.
